Fonseca is a current pre-revolution brand, started in 1892 and registered in 1907.
It is classed by Habanos SA in their Other marketing category of their portfolio of brands. Under the previous classification system, it was a multi-local brand.

Generally
The range comprises light strength cigars, using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region.
There is a non-Cuban brand with the same name.
