Status Vegas Robaina is a current post-revolution brand, established in 1997. It is named for famous Cuban tobacco farmer Alejandro Robaina. It is classified by Habanos SA in their 'Other' category of their brand portfolio. It receives occasional Regional Edition releases.
Generally The range comprises medium to full strength cigars using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region.
This cigar was never released for sale. Some 800 cigars were gifted at the Gala dinner of the 4th Habanos Festival. Habanos S.A. press releases referred to this cigar as a Vegas Robaina Prominente - it is not clear what (if any) difference there is between this and the standard Don Alejandro.
