The original Spanish Edition of this book was published in 2004. It is presumably in the same format.

Copies of the English version are currently available worldwide. Availability of the Spanish version is unknown.

The author, Adriano Martinez Rius, was for many years (until his retirement) a consultant to the Cuban Tobacco Industry through Cubatabaco & Habanos SA. He was also the honorary consultant for Min Ron Nee's classic "An Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Post-Revolutionary Havana Cigars".

This book is extensively illustrated with photographs and lithograph images. While primarily concerned with the Great Habanos Factories, there are also sections on the history of cigars and the cigar industries in the Cuban provinces.

A close reading of the book reveals the enormous amount of detective work undertaken by the author to establish ownership and location of these historic factories.

This book is as much an illustrative reference as it is a first-class documentary reference.

This, combined with the authors inside-knowledge, makes this a well worthwhile book to own.
